This Year's Winners
This year Study Group launched an exciting new Annual Award Scheme in Nigeria and Ghana, offering scholarship awards to the six winning entries of a national essay competition. The scheme represents a unique opportunity to win a prestigious scholarship either at Bellerbys College or one of Study Group’s partner universities in the UK.
The winners were presented with their scholarships at televised award ceremonies in Lagos, Abuja and Accra at the end of May. We are delighted to announce the winners for each of the awards below.
- 50% tuition fee reduction on one year Undergraduate Certificate and for duration of Undergraduate Degree at the University of Stirling
Winner: Oluwagbeminiyi Abayomi Ogunleye of Grace High School, Lagos.
He submitted his entry through Global Education Study Centres and is going to study Computing for the first year, progressing to a degree in Software Engineering. - 50% tuition fee reduction on one year Foundation and £2,500 fee reduction per year for duration of Undergraduate Degree at the University of Sussex
Winner: Amaka Okoye of Emmy Norberton International Secondary School, Port Harcourt.
Her entry was submitted through Unlimited Knowledge Admissions Services (UKAS) and she has been given the opportunity to do Law Foundation progressing to a Law Degree at Sussex. - 50% tuition fee reduction on one year Foundation at Bellerbys College London
Winner: Abdulsalam Khalifah Ahmed of Danbo International School, Kaduna.
His entry was submitted through International Education and Placement Services (IDK) and he plans to take the Engineering Foundation progressing to a Civil Engineering Degree. - 50% tuition fee reduction on one year Foundation at Bellerbys College Brighton
Winner: Muktar Mohammed of Jos, also studying at Danbo International School.
He submitted his entry through International Education and Placement Services (IDK) and plans to take the Engineering Foundation progressing to a degree in either Electrical or Geological Engineering. - 50% tuition fee reduction on one year Foundation at Bellerbys College Cambridge
Winner: Charles Kofi Adjei-Mensah of Presbyterian Boys Secondary School, Accra.
Charles won a prize for overall best Arts student of the year at his school. His entry was submitted through CUPA Ghana and he plans to do a Foundation in Business progressing to a degree in Actuary or Actuarial Science. - 50% tuition fee reduction on one year Foundation at Bellerbys College Oxford
Winner: Kwaku Baffour Dwomoh of Kumasi, Ghana.
He studied at T.I Ahamadiyya Secondary School in Kumasi, Ashanti Region and submitted his entry through CUPA Ghana. He plans to do Science Foundation progressing to a degree in Pharmacy.
