Vacancies at Heriot-Watt International Study Centre

The first intake of students is expected in September 2008 and the following positions are available:

• 3 Pathway tutors in Business & Management, Engineering & Computing and Life Sciences.  N.B. All pathways include modules in Mathematics
• 1 Academic English & Study Skills teacher

These posts will be paid hourly. The number of hours and times (between 09.30-16.30) will vary.

The International Study Centre (ISC) offers international students direct entry to the second year of undergraduate degrees at Heriot-Watt University. The Undergraduate Certificate, delivered at the ISC, provides a choice of routes into key subject areas while providing students with full access to the University’s academic and social facilities. It combines academic modules (equivalent to GCE ‘A’  level standard) with study skills and English language training to provide the best possible path to second year degree entry.

For all these positions, candidates should ideally have prior experience of teaching/supporting international students in a tertiary or further education context and be familiar with blended learning methodology and resources.
