Tutors in English and Mathematics at Wales ISC
Tutor in English for Academic Purposes
An English tutor (FULL-TIME or PART-TIME) is required to prepare overseas students for their Foundation studies at our Wales International Study Centre, managed by Study Group and based on the campus of the University of Wales, Newport.
The overall commitment is full-time (25 hours of teaching per week), but applications will be considered from anyone wishing to work part-time at the Wales ISC (at least 10 hours teaching a week).
Applicants should be educated to at least first degree level and be qualified to at least DELTA standard. Relevant teaching experience (preferably university or FE College based) is a requirement.
Tutor in Mathematics
A mathematics tutor (PART-TIME) is required to teach overseas students in their Foundation studies at our Wales International Study Centre, managed by Study Group and based on the campus of the University of Wales, Newport.
The overall commitment is 15 hours of teaching per week. In January, however, the Centre will be seeking to appoint a full-time mathematics tutor.
Applicants should be qualified teachers, graduates in a relevant subject area and experienced in teaching students on A Level or Access courses. Experience of working with international students would be considered an advantage.
Successful applicants for both positions will be required to start in mid-September.
