Student Supervision (UK)

Providing an academic and welfare support service to international students at UK universities

Our student supervision service provides essential academic and welfare support to international students beginning their studies at UK universities. The service is offered both to graduates of our own colleges embarking on a university programme in the UK and to corporate clients sponsoring their trainees’ university programmes. Our biggest client is Qatar Petroleum, with whom we have been working since 2005, and for whom we currently provide monitoring support for some 250 trainees and employees studying in the UK. For corporate clients our service includes:

• The administration of university applications.
• Placement in UK universities and colleges.
• Travel and accommodation advice.
• UK visa and health insurance advice.
• Pre-departure orientation and acculturation programmes, and arrival information.
• Referral to appropriate support on arrival in the UK.
• Payment of tuition fees and other allowances.
• Termly meetings with students.
• Identifying students at risk of not completing their qualification in time
  and facilitating strategies to assist through liaison between university,
  student and sponsor.
• Monitoring and reporting on students’ academic and non-academic progress.
• Co-ordination of visits from the sponsor’s representatives.
